The patients are recovering and returning homes with a smile,” says noted ayurvedic doctor Mohammed Iqbal of Vizag Ayurvedic Clinic.
Some of the Ayurveda Pharma Companies started the sale of papaya digestive acid capsules also. It is better to have papaya extract twice a day for three to four days and should check platelet count before and after administering papaya extract, Iqbal said.
“Any natural medicine is good for health. Though, the clinical research reports are not completely come out, it is good to have papaya leaves extract for improving the platelet count of the patient. In olden days, the grandmothers administered small amounts of papaya leaves extract in small quantity to the babies as a preventive medicine,” Professor of Botany Sri Venkateswara University Gudivada Sudarsanam told The Hans India. The professor done his PhD in medicinal plants at Central Drug Research Institute, Pune.
