The study carried out in various centres in the west found that it was going to decline by 75 percent in the young and there would not be death due to the use of human papilloma virus vaccine.

Presently, the age group of those suffering from cervical cancer ranges from 35 years to 60 years. While in the west, the young are identifies, in India the cases seen are only in second and third stage and they come in the age group of 55-60 years.

A senior consultant and surgical oncologist explained. Opting for vaccine will help as it helps to develop immunity against the virus.
