The cause of his death is said to be heart-attack which took his life at the age of 75. Dyer rose to fame world-over with his first book, ‘Your Erroneous Zones’ in 1976, after which he authored nearly 40 books that made it to the New York Times bestseller list.

Wayne Dyer, a motivational guru and bestselling author of many self-help books, better known as “father of motivation”, passed away on Saturday night. The cause of his death is said to be heart-attack which took his life at the age of 75. Dyer rose to fame world-over with his first book, ‘Your Erroneous Zones’ in 1976, after which he authored nearly 40 books that made it to the New York Times bestseller list.



Dyer was named as the eighth most spiritually influential person in the world by Mind Body Spirit magazine last year. Born in Detroit, and later having served in the US Navy, Dyer later earned a doctorate in educational counseling from Wayne State University. He later found success as an author who supported the power of positive thinking through his teachings.



On Dyer’s death, Oprah Winfrey who is also a fan of his shared, “It was always a pleasure to talk to @DrWayneWDyer about life's big questions. He always had big answers. RIP Wayne. You brought the Light.” – Oprah Winfrey A few of his works include – ‘Wisdom of the ages’, ‘Manifest your destiny’ and others. One of his forthcoming books is titled ‘There is a spiritual solution to every problem’.
