Our country cousins, Rocky Singh and Mayur Sharma, of ‘Highway on My Plate’ fame, travelled length and breadth of India to show us the best delicacies, which could be found on the national highway. Name your grandmums best dish made and you can be sure they have tried it. They have gone all out for the hyper local Indian Cuisine.

Their palate has experienced a lot but they are not yet ready to give up on those simple Indian dishes. India’s biggest food enthusiasts Rocky and Mayur embark on a journey to fitness with a new show ‘Get Fit with Rocky and Mayur’ on NDTV Good Times. The famous duo has decided to go from flab to fit and lose almost 10-15 kg for the show. For the first time we will get to see Rocky and Mayur in a new avatar as fitness enthusiasts.

"We've always been passionate about fitness and food. Staying active means we can enjoy our food more. We forgot about the exercising bit for a while but now we're back with a bang. Watch the show where we share our journey about losing weight and more importantly what it really means to 'Get Fit'. If we can do it then so can you! We are excited to be associated with NDTV Good Times for yet another series,” they share.

The idea behind getting healthy doesn’t necessarily involve quitting your favourite meals but substituting them with healthier ones.

“We will not stop eating various dishes that is for sure. However, the quantity of the intake will be less than earlier. And we will substitute lot of dishes. Now the idea is to eat healthy. Right food habits and good amount of exercise does wonders and keeps one fit,” Rocky Singh says. The popular duo known for gorging on the tastiest yet fatty foods are now counting their calories only to show that getting healthy can be a lot of fun too.

“When we were doing our TV show we would never keep a count on calorie intake. Our one meal would have consisted around six to eight thousand calories. Now, we have brought that down quite a bit, it is now around 500 calories,” Mayur shares.

Giving a whole new definition to fitness, this series of 13 episodes will witness Rocky and Mayur indulging in Yoga, Pilates, Spinning and Gym training with special instructors doling out some health tips!

“In our new show we will be travelling to various cities of the country and meeting fitness experts from different fields, take advice about fitness from them and eat the right kind of food. We will give 10-15 tips for our audience in each show,” says Rocky.
