MAMI is one of the most respected film fests in the country and this is the first time they have awarded writing on cinema. The book contains behind the scenes of fifty celebrated songs. Hindi film songs have enraptured listeners all over the world and one wonders what kind of efforts went on behind each of them. From 'Babul mora, naihar chhooto jaye' (Street Singer, 1938) to 'Dil hai chhota sa' (Roja, 1992) this book is a compilation of trivia, anecdotes that celebrates the music from yesteryears.
