A book titled ‘Gaana - Swara Mantrikulu’ written by N Gopala Krishna, director and author was released during the ongoing International Children’s Film Festival. The Telugu book was launched by Navin Mittal, IAS, Commissioner, I & PR at Prasad’s IMAX on Wednesday.

The Telugu book was launched by Navin Mittal, IAS, Commissioner, I & PR at Prasad’s IMAX on Wednesday.

The book documents the works and life of 30 Telugu playback singers and music directors. Author Gopala Krishna expressed his happiness at the release of his book during the fest. He explained, “Being from the cinematic world, I wanted to translate the knowledge I acquired into a book form.”

Mentioning about the role music, song and dance plays in Indian cinema, Navin Mittal said, “This book is helpful to PhD students, music researchers and others interested.” Subhash Goud, I&PR director was also present at the launch of the book.
