Hyderabad: A Raj Kumar Naik, a Class IX student of Sree Balaji High School, Boudhanagar, Warasiguda bagged gold and silver medals in the Telangana state-level Cycling Competitions, under 17 "mass-start" and "time-trial" events respectively, organised by School Games Federation of Telangana State.
As many as 25 participants from 5 districts- Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Warangal took part in the event.
M Thanishq of Sri Guru Datta School, Nallakunta won silver and gold medals in "10 Km.mass-start" and "5 Km.time- trial" events respectively.
The Disrict Educational Officer (DEO) of Hyderabad, M Somi Reddy presented the winners with the medals and encouraged the budding cyclists to bring more such laurels to the state at the National level too.
