Numerous studies have shown that healthier students tend to do better in school as they have higher attendance and are able to concentrate better. With an objective to educate children about physical, mental, emotional and social health Sesame Street Preschool, Hyderabad will be celebrating health week from 7 to 12 December.
Hyderabad: Numerous studies have shown that healthier students tend to do better in school as they have higher attendance and are able to concentrate better. With an objective to educate children about physical, mental, emotional and social health Sesame Street Preschool, Hyderabad will be celebrating health week from 7 to 12 December.
During the week-long celebrations, children will revisit their lessons on health and hygiene as they learn the importance of healthy habits, establishing and following routines, healthy eating and physical well-being.
Each day of the week is dedicated to a specific healthy habit like Day one will focus on hand washing routines and children will be encouraged to practice correct way of hand washing.
Day two is dedicated to oral health and kids will be taught right ways of brushing teeth, sorting food for strong teeth. On day three kids will learn about healthy eating. Children will enjoy the extended snack time at the Health Café, munching on healthy meals. Day four will emphasise on fitness and will begin with exercise sessions conducted during the extended assembly time.
Day 5 will reiterate the learnings of the Health Week when kids will be encouraged to share the healthy habits they learnt during the week. Day 6 will culminate the Health Week with an early morning yoga session planned for all kids and their parents.
