Telugu Desam Party in-charge of Sanathnagar, Kuna Venkatesh Goud is undertaking a house-to-house padayatra of the Constituency from Janaury 9. Goud will be attempting to “know” the problems of the people and find solutions, in the context of the ensuing GHMC elections.

During the visits to houses of the constituents, Goud intends to inform them about the development works taken up by N Chandrababu Naidu, now TDP national president, during his stint of nine years when he headed the unified State government. The works included construction of Hitec City,

industries in Cyderabad creating jobs for thousands, Outer Ring Road several flyovers. He had ensured Hyderabad as a clean and green city, with international looks. Goud wishes to educate the residents that the Naidu dispensation had maintained peace in the twin cities, which handled anti-social elements with an iron hand and took care of minority interests like construction of the Haj House.

The TDP leader wants to caution the people to be on guard against the designs of a former TDP legislator, who later went on to become a city minister. However, he changed parties after the TRS came to power and is now a Minister in the KCR Cabinet. Goud has accused this minister of trying to mislead the people with a view to cheat them.

Goud alleged that the TRS government has neglected welfare, which resulted in suicides of many farmers. He said that the TDP extended financial assistance of Rs 50,000 from the NTR Rythu Sankshema Nidhi to the bereaved families.

Besides, the party has offering accident insurance cover, under the guidance of youth leader Nara Lokesh, of Rs two lakh to its activists who have been standing by the organisation.
