Pay, recharge Tata Sky through mVisa

Direct-to-home service provider Tata Sky announced their collaboration with payments technology Visa that would help customers with QR code based mobile payment solutions through mVisa.

The Tata Sky subscribers with this initiative will be able to recharge their accounts by scanning their QR code through mobile phones or online. The introductory offer would also provide subscribers with 50 per cent additional credit up to a maximum of Rs 200 on recharge using mVisa which could be availed three times in a calendar month.

Visa’s group country manager for India and South Asia TR Ramachandran said, “The mVisa solution for Tata Sky subscribers will cater to a large user base across India; we will continue to build more such use cases across online and offline channels to accelerate the adoption digital payments.”

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tata Sky Harit Nagpal said, “Convenience to use any new technology is the key to ensuring its mass utility and success. We believe mVisa will help subscribers across India with this payment solution from the comfort of their homes.”
