Nizampet submerged city on alert
Rains continued to lash over the city on Wednesday. Tension prevailed in Nizampet after a few colonies in the area submerged. Residents of Allwyn Colony, Nizampet, Miyapur, Pragathi Nagar, Moosapet faced severe problems after flood water reached till first floor in several buildings.
It’s raining woes on Hyderabad
Rains continued to lash over the city on Wednesday. Tension prevailed in Nizampet after a few colonies in the area submerged. Residents of Allwyn Colony, Nizampet, Miyapur, Pragathi Nagar, Moosapet faced severe problems after flood water reached till first floor in several buildings. Colonies in Kukatpally Housing Board were also submerged and people evacuated the area with their menial belongings.
Water level in Tank Bund too rose significantly due to Tuesday night’s rainfall. According to the GHMC, about 4,000 cusecs of water was received in Hussainsagar. Irrigation officials released 2,000 cusecs. Meanwhile, people are facing severe inconvenience in reaching their offices in city due to traffic jams. Roads filled with potholes are troubling motorists.
