Rajasthan State Handloom Development Corporation (RHDC) in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organised an exhibition titled ‘Colors of Rajasthan’ at Kalinga Exhibition Hall, Banjara Hills on Wednesday.

Rajasthan State Handloom Development Corporation (RHDC) in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organised an exhibition titled ‘Colors of Rajasthan’ at Kalinga Exhibition Hall, Banjara Hills on Wednesday. Mohammad Mahmood Ali, Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana inaugurated the five-day long exhibition. The expo commenced on September 21 and will conclude on 25.

A total of 30 artisans from Rajasthan are showcasing a wide range of products in the expo. “Rajasthan is a better option for handmade products in the country. They are best in the designing and black printing. Organising these types of exhibitions helps the artisans. Hyderabad people are find of products from Rajasthan,” Mohammad Mahmood Ali, Deputy CM said.

Abdul Majeed, who got the National Award for Textile in 2015, said, “This is the first time that I was presenting my products in Hyderabad. In this exposition, we are presenting kurta’s, dupattas, sarees, dohars and tunics. We always face the problems to survive. These types of exhibitions help us to continue our works on textiles.”

Shuchi Sharma (IAS), Managing Director, RHDC, Devendra Surana, Chairman, FICCI – Telangana State Council; Padma Rajgopal, Chairperson, FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) Hyderabad Chapter; Nayab Khan, Chief General Manager, RHDC and Akhilesh Mahurkar, Head, FICCI – Telangana State Council were also present on the occasion.
