Devi Saranavaratri Mahotsavam from Saturday
The ‘Sri Devi Saranavaratri Mahotsavam’ will be celebrated by Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Devasthanam, Secunderabad, to mark the Dasara festival, from October 1 to 11. During the festivities the Goddess will give ‘darshan’ to the devotees adorning various forms daily from 6 to 10 pm.
The ‘Sri Devi Saranavaratri Mahotsavam’ will be celebrated by Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Devasthanam, Secunderabad, to mark the Dasara festival, from October 1 to 11. During the festivities the Goddess will give ‘darshan’ to the devotees adorning various forms daily from 6 to 10 pm.
Surity Krishna Mudiraj, Founder, and S Annapurna, Assistant Commissioner and EO, said that the ‘alankarams’ to be adorned by the Goddess will include Balaji Tripura Sundari, Gayatri Devi, Annapurna Devi, Bhavani Devi, Raja Rajeshwari Devi, Lalitha Parameshwari Devi, Gajalakshmi Devi, Saraswathi Devi, Durga Devi, Mahishasura Mardini and Mahakali Devi.
They said the mahotsavam would conclude with Ammavari procession (Thiruveedhi Seva) starting at 4 pm on October 11. The programmes to be organised daily include ‘Nitya Chandi Homam’, ‘Purnahuti Homam’, ‘Lalitha Sahasranamarchana’.
