ICF spikers annex All India Railway title
Integral Coach Factory (ICF) bagged the 62nd All India Railway Volleyball Championship for men at the Railway Sports Complex late Saturday. In a well-contested championship clash, the titlist defeated North Eastern Railway 25-19, 25-18, 25-17. Southern Railway finished third.
Integral Coach Factory (ICF) bagged the 62nd All India Railway Volleyball Championship for men at the Railway Sports Complex late Saturday. In a well-contested championship clash, the titlist defeated North Eastern Railway 25-19, 25-18, 25-17. Southern Railway finished third.
A total of 19 teams participated in the championship. In their respective semifinal matches, ICF beat Northern Railway while North Eastern Railway prevailed over Southern Railway.
Later, Ravindra Gupta, General Manager of South Central Railway (SCR) gave away the trophies. He urged the spikers to constantly endeavour to win honours without compromising on the avowed spirit of sportsmanship.
AK Gupta, Additional General Manager, SCR, Aruna Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division, KV Siva Prasad, General Secretary, SCR Sports Association were also present on the occasion.
