The residence of India’s first overseas citizen, Iftekhar Shareef turned into a venue for melodious evening, which was attended by eminent social personalities over the weekend. The event was to celebrate the fourth anniversary of NGO SEVA that works to provide food for poor and for people living in slums.

While former captain Indian Cricket team and ex-MP Mohammaed Azharuddin spent time basking in the glory of the ghazal performance, politicians from different parties including Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Leader of Opposition in legislative council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, former Congress MP Hanumath Rao, Karthik Reddy, BJP activist Prem Raj Yadav, TRS MLC Farooq Hussain, Chief Editor of Gawah Urdu Weekly Dr Syed Fazil Hussain Parvez, theatre icon Mohammed Ali Baig, Naina Jaiswal, body building stars Mohtesham Ali and EsaMisri, scion of the Nizam dynasty Faiz Khan were among the guests.

Eminent social activist Khaleequr Rahman, Khaja Khayyum Anwar, Kartik Reddy, Azhar’s son Asaduddin Abbas, comedian KB Jani, singers Osman and Amjad Khan, TPCC Secretary youth Marri Adithya Reddy, Jahangir Nawab, Zohra Subohi, Ainuddin Arif were also present. Prior to the ghazal performance by Mohammed Vakil, renowned singer from Kanpur, Shareef and the visiting dignitaries pledged to come forward together for the charitable cause of feeding the poor.
