Lal Bahadur Stadium breathed with fresh air on Sunday, thanks to exhilarating enthusiasm of students from Rosary Convent High School that celebrated its annual sports day.

The school is acclaimed as the pioneer of mass drill displays back in the 1960s. Over 3,000 students held the audience, including a sizeable presence of dignitaries, to once again keep the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary (RIM) flag flying high.

There was a high quality competition after D Joel Davis, Deputy Commissioner of Police Central Zone, Hyderabad City declared the meet open. Taking spotlight was P Neelima an ex-Rosarian, who became the youngest woman to scale Mt Everest in 2015.

Principal of St Helen's, Sr Lucy Topo led the gathering in prayer while a relay of 18 national-level sports champions culminated with the lighting of the torch by the sports captain, Nameera Khalid.

‘Star Drill’, 'Colourful Peacock Drill', ‘Flowers & Honey Bee Drill', 'Save Water Drill' were enlightening in their own way. The Superior and Correspondent Sr Vimala, welcomed the gathering while the Principal Sr Elizabeth presented the School Report. Later, prizes were distributed at an impressive function.
