To hundreds of students from Delhi Public School (DPS), Nadergul, Thursday marked a wonderfully educative journey, one that will stay fresh in their memory for a long time.

Making it more momentous was the large turnout by people from all walks of life.

Taken under any yardstick, the ‘5K Heritage Walk’. organised by The Hans India and HMTV, in collaboration with DPS and 91.1 FM Radio City, was a resounding success.

Children were enthusiastic and all delighted when the event started at Charminar and ended at Falaknuma Palace.

Apart from walking past the iconic heritage locations, the DPS students, along with the Chairman of the institute M Kommariah, Principal Padma Jyothi Turaga and members of the staff, were given pep talks about the importance of striving to preserve the historical structures that have stood the test of time. The awe-struck youngsters seemed fully inspired with the walk.

Employees of The Hans India and HMTV also participated in large numbers as a measure of their acknowledging the cause.
