Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, educationalist Chukka Ramaiah, Board of Intermediate Commissioner Ashok, Income Tax department Deputy Commissioner Venkatesham, psychologists and students along with their teachers and parents participated in the event.

Addressing the gathering, Ramaiah exhorted parents and teachers not to pressurise students to study more and to create congenial atmosphere for children to devout towards their studies in a peaceful manner.

Srihari said educational standards in government residential schools and colleges have improved after Telangana State came into being and girl students were achieving pass percentage over the boys.

Stating that the students of government schools and colleges were outshining their counterparts in the private corporate convents and colleges, Srihari said the State government proposed to open 600 more residential schools and colleges all over the State in the ensuing financial year.

BIE Commissioner Ashok exhorted students to keep off bad habits and shun examination phobia. On the occasion, www.studykit.in, which is useful for students appearing for EAMCET, JEE, NEET was launched.
