There was an overwhelming enthusiasm all around when a globally acclaimed Spanish tennis coach held fort in the city. Coming close on the heels of the session conducted by Sports Village, it seems like Spanish methodology is the new tennis high for boys and girls from the twin cities, who are eyeing a career on the circuit.

Adrian Rattenbury is a big name in the coaching fraternity all cross Europe. Getting trained under him was an opportunity that ten boys and four girls did not wish to let go off. That is precisely what they did when they turned up for the high-level session that Rattenbury conducted at the invitation of the city-based Nishanth Tennis Academy in their courts near KJR and Viceroy Gardens at Mudfort.

According to the Academy founder, and qualified coach, Nishanth Kumar, the wards were all of enthusiasm when the guru passed on tips on going about the game, particularly with regard to developing on-court technical, tactical and mental skills.

Meanwhile, Rattenbury’s extensive RPT World Tour session for coaches took-off on an impressive note on Monday. Domestic coaches will be exposed to the latest in technique, rules and regulations and standards prevalent all over during the three-day session.
