Spreading sunshine among children
A team of cardiologists from Sunshine Group of Hospitals, Secunderabad performed ‘Device Closure’ procedure in eight children who had congenital heart diseases, recently.
A team of cardiologists from Sunshine Group of Hospitals, Secunderabad performed ‘Device Closure’ procedure in eight children who had congenital heart diseases, recently. The doctors performed these surgeries at the ‘Free Health Camp, which the hospital has been running in association with RBSK (Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram) in Warangal from the past month.
As part of the camp, doctors screened over 80 children through tests like ECG, 2D Echo and CBP. The young ones who were diagnosed with heart ailments were brought to the hospital premises in the city and were operated there.
The team of doctors led by HOD Dr Sridhar Kasturi included Dr Shailender Singh, Dr R Vijay Kumar Reddy, Dr Kondal Rao, Dr Ganesh Mathan, Dr Naveen Kumar Cheruku, Dr Sanjeev, Dr Naveen Dogra, Dr Vamshikrishna, Dr Kshamatha, Dr Sunil, Dr Reema and child Interventional specialist Dr Amitab Chattopadhyay. They performed the procedures under Aarogyasree Scheme.
Informing about the same on Tuesday, Dr Kasturi said that all the children were stable and that the hospital is planning for discharge. “In the next phase we are planning to admit 16 children in our hospital on February 10 for interventions and surgeries,” he said.
