Hyderabad lad is India’s favourite cosplayer

City-based Akhil Macharla won the ‘Fan Favourite Award’ at a nation-wide cosplay contest organised by Comic Con India in New Delhi recently. In addition, he won a trip to Indonesia Comic Con 2017. Macharla won the awards through an online poll in which he received about 30,000 votes in 35 days on his ‘Daedric’ from ‘Skyrim’ cosplay.

An elated Macharla said, “Achieving prizes at two major events makes me really proud of myself and motivates me to do better. My journey from Hyderabad Comic Con to Indonesia Comic Con has been overwhelming, as I've met many skilled cosplayers and made really great friends. I would like to continue making props and armours for future events and I'm sure I'll make India proud.”
