As the PSLV-37 soared into the sky to place 104 satellites into the orbit, Nagasai Precision Engineers Private Limited’s founder BN Reddy felt proud of his firm’s role in the ISRO’s success. The firm made components used in the launch vehicle for 32 out of 40 satellites that went into the space. It also supplied 25 components used in airbus doors.

Speaking to The Hans India, Reddy said that he along with his team members worked hard and delivered the order to ISRO a few months ago. “Since all components that the firm manufactures pertain to the defence sector, there was a strict surveillance on the manufacture by defence personnel,” he shared.

Reddy, who founded the firm with 18 members, said that the ISRO placed orders with the firm giving credence to it. Reddy, who got job in defence services soon after his graduation in engineering, said that he was the recipient of many awards for manufacturing equipment needed during war. Later, he completed his PG from CITD and worked in tool design section of the Allwyn prior to starting his firm in 1994.

The firm initially handled small projects till 1998 when it got its first order from defence sector to make components. In 2002, he was presented with the best industrialist award at the district level. In 2009, he received the Best SSI Award from the then Chief Minister K Rosaiah. Reddy lauded the ISRO scientists and technical personnel for the success of the PSLV-C37 launch and rather indirectly claimed credit for its success. “The firm is the supplier of components to war planes and ships and to many projects of the ISRO,” he said.
