In addition to traffic services, these volunteers are willingly offering their services during 'bundobast' for Ganesh Utsav, Bonalu and as for free parking during rath yatras. Each of these volunteers is given a traffic radium reflector hat, a helmet and a traffic wing ID card. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) LS Chauhan told The Hans India that the volunteers are being enlightened about traffic regulations and how to interact with the public during special classes, particularly with devotees and leaders. “They are coming forward although there is no monetary benefit and are proud to be play a useful role for the welfare of society,” the DCP remarked.
