The stunning reversals in the girls category climaxed with unseeded Apurva Vemuri scalping another surprise finalist Abhaya Vemuri to emerge as the singles champion in the TSTA Master Series Boys & Girls Under-12 tournament that was conducted by DRC Sports Foundation at St Thomas High School courts in Neredmet.

Earlier, the eventual titlist had sent second seed Malishka K while Abhaya accounted for top seeded Saumya Ronde. However, there were no such upsets in the boys category where the top seeded Sree Sharan Kanugovi ended the dreams of unseeded Bhima Gunnidi in the title clash.
