City teen Deepthi Reddy has become a social media sensation. Her Dubsmash videos on her Facebook page ‘Deepthi Suniana’ are gaining popularity by the day and are garnering accolades for her timing and expressions on popular dialogues from Telugu movies.

The teen is treading on the path of fame and she is being flooded with offers from modelling world and Tollywood. “I am happy that people are enjoying my videos, which started on a casual note. It feels good when somebody recognises me and say that they really enjoy my videos,” she shares.

However, the 18-year-old girl states that she is missing her personal life due to the sudden fame and recognition. About her journey to fame, she says, “I used to love doing Dubsmash videos and post it on my wall.

My friends really appreciated my work and suggested me to change my privacy settings and make my videos public. And after that, I was flooded with requests and followers so I created a page for my videos and they started going viral.

I used to get messages from people for making more videos and it was an encouragement for me. Now I have 118k followers on Facebook and 343k followers on Instagram. All this happened in a span of eight months.”

Deepthi informs that she is inspired by Tollywood diva Samantha Ruth Prabhu. “I almost did all the Dubsmash videos of her famous dialogues.” The youngster states that she also faced the harsh side of being famous. “I got so many offensive messages and there were many fake profiles with vulgar posts and there was a point of time where I almost broke down,” she rues.

“I didn’t want to give up the thing I loved most because of some miscreants. I started to work with more dedication to show that nothing can stop me,” she adds.

Deepthi is currently working in a short film and she informs that it is woman-oriented. “Although I am getting movie and modelling offers, I don’t want to give any commitments. I want to create a name for myself with my own efforts first and then plan to explore other opportunities,” Deepthi signs off.
