Renault had showcased some really nicely modified versions of the Kwid at the 2016 Auto Expo and now the automaker has now launched the Kwid Climber Edition in India. The Climber Edition is offered at Rs 4.30 lakh for the 1.0 MT trim and Rs 4.60 lakh for the 1.0 AMT trim (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

On the outside, the Renault Kwid Climber Edition gets tweaked foglamp housings, skid plates on the bumpers, body cladding, roof rails and a Climber badge. You also get the ORVMs in a contrasting shade. The Climber Edition also gets new six-spoke alloy wheels. The interiors are similar to the regular Kwid but get orange inserts on the seats, gear lever, door pads and centre console.

Renault is also offering a new Electric Blue shade with this model. Talking about safety features, it gets a driver side airbag and seat belt pretensioners. Apart from the Electric Blue colour, the Kwid Climber Edition also gets Outback Bronze and Planet Grey colour options.

No mechanical changes have been made to the Kwid and the Climber Edition gets the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, petrol engine that produces 67 HP and 91 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Kwid Climber Edition is also available with the AMT gearbox. The ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency is 23.01 km/l for the MT and 24.04 km/l for the AMT.

The Climber Edition is priced at just Rs 25,000 more than the regular Kwid. Bookings can be done at Renault dealerships or through the Kwid mobile app.
