Godrej Interio launched yet another exclusive store in Kukatpally on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Subodh Mehta, Head, Home Furniture Business, Godrej Interio, said, “We are on a rapid expansion mode across the country.
Hyderabad city is one of the most important markets for us. The city has always had a strong market for the interior and décor segment, and in recent years has caught an eye of the leading interior brands of the world.”
“It is our third store in the current financial year. We plan to have around 20 such stores across Hyderabad and other key cities of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,” he said.
Commenting on the business expansion plan in Southern India he said, “Keeping in line with our strategy, by strengthening our presence in the South, we have increased our business plan for the entire Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region from Rs 40 crore at present to Rs 100 crore rupees in the next three years.
Also, we aim to increase the South market contribution to our brand’s overall business revenue from 20 % to 25%.” In addition, Mehta spoke about the consumer and market trends. “A significant change can be observed in the consumer and market trends.
Consumers are trying out new materials and finishes in place of traditional wood whereas the design trends are shifting to more contemporary styles. The purchase pattern is following a reverse-seasonality wherein people are not buying specifically on occasions but year round,” he said.
