Energetic musical fun

‘Johnnie Walker The Journey’, a stage that hosts inspiring performers, had the band, ‘Instant Karma’ – the Ehsaan and Loy’s remix band of the 90s performing at Westin Mindspace during the weekend. It was in fact the first live concert of ‘Instant Karma’ in India after they re-launched it recently, and featured three young singers even as the duo strummed away to glory much to the delight of the Hyderabad audience.

Their set list included some the famous Bollywood singles such as ‘Don’ title track, “Dil Kya Kare”, “Samne Yeh Kaun Aya” and “Rock On” and “Baahon Mein Chale Aao” bringing back the nostalgia of the past when you had the kings of remix a ruling the music charts of India.

Opening for ‘Instant Karma’ was the young and energetic fusion rock project ‘Lagori’. Their line-up was wide and included the sufi number ‘Damadum Mast Kalandar’, and a few Bollywood tracks in addition to their own compositions that included “Boom Shankar”, “Yaad” and “Dhue”.
And together they ensured a fun-filled musical evening.
