An Ayurveda Department has been set up at Medwin Hospital in Hyderabad. The team of doctors at Medwin hospital promises to provide consultation for a variety of chronic diseases including arthritis, diabetes, gynaec problems, infertility, migraine, hypertension, and other degenerative diseases with the traditional benefits of treatment sans side effects.

Ayush department is formed by Government of India. Under the Ayush Department Ayurvedic, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, Homeopathic and Nature therapy are covered. Ayurveda is a method of Indian origin which uses natural herbs.
Director for Ayush in Medwin Hospital Dr Fazal Ahmed said, “Despite the advances of science and medical technology, Ayurveda exists as a much needed way to cure diseases naturally, and without any side effects. Medwin hospital is the first corporate hospital to start An Ayurvedic . The hospital already has a Unani department in its premises in addition to Allopathy.”
“Ayurveda, which originated in India, is as natural as nature. It is a science which helps in balancing the proportions of the body in a healthy way. Ayurveda and Panchakarma are the fundamentals of Ayurveda, through which a healthy person can stay healthier and a diseased person gets cured if followed under the supervision of Ayurveda doctors.
Dr Namratha Reddy, specialist in female infertility, gynaec problems and an Ayurvedic general physician said, “Ayurveda helps to maintain a balanced and healthy body in today's busy and polluted atmosphere, while Panchakarma can help fight stress and depression. The benefit of Ayurveda is that it quickens the post-illness recovery, has no side effects and develops resistance to diseases.”
