A vast sea of devotees, clad in orange bearing flags and banners, participated in the procession as part of Hanuman Jayanti celebrations across the city on Tuesday. Elaborate security arrangements from the police and RAF ensured a peaceful celebration, especially near Charminar in the Old City as the celebrations coincided with that of the Shia community’s procession.

The Hanuman Jayanthi Shobha Yatra, which was organised by Bajrang Dal, began from the Ram Mandir, Gowliguda and continued on to Kothi Crossroads, Kachiguda, Narayanguda, and RTC Crossroads till the Tadbun Hanuman temple. Thousands of followers of the Hindu Lord Hanuman that included people of all ages were seen chanting ‘Jai Hanuman’ on the streets.
