Ramalayam Temple on the occasion of Rama Navami conducted a vocal concert, which featured a pair of young and upcoming artistes Sindhuja and Manasi Prasad. The aura of the festival added a radiant ambience to the stage which had just witnessed the Seeta Rama Kalyanam. Sindhuja started with the majestic Pancharatna kriti of Thyagaraja "Jagadananda Karaka" in naata raga.

Next, she presented a Ramadasu composition "Sitaramaswamy" in Saaveri. "Prakkala nilabadi" in Kharaharipriya was again by Thyagaraja with a delicately expounded neraval and Swara Kalpana. Annamaya's "Kolanidopariki Gobbilloo in Yadukula Khamboji was charming.

A composition of Muthuswami Dikshithar "Gopika manoharam" in Mohana was enchanting too. The vocalist's sweet voice was as beautiful as the song itself. She concluded with an Annamaya composition in Ramakriya raga "Aadaro paadaro".

The second artiste Manasi Prasad started with "deva devam bhaje” by Annamayya in Hindolam. It was followed by "Brochevarevare" by Thyagaraja in Sriranjani. The exquisitely done "Rangapura vihara" of Dikshitar in Brindavana Saranga delighted the audience.

Purandara Dasa's "Rama Rama Enniro" in tilang was performed after the former. "Marivere" of Subramanya Iyer in Kharaharipriya was well done. The melodious Tulsidas Bhajan Sri Ramachandra Kripalu in Ragamalika was the last item with a mangalam concluding the performance. Mridangist Jayabhaskar gave a virtuoso accompaniment along with Dinakar's surpassing violin rendition.
