Unused or discarded items usually occupy large spaces in our households, and are seen as a big nuisance disrupting the order of life.
While some of these products are not useful presently, some could be in a condition not fit for usage. Discarding such things is a huge challenge. Further, if the item is acknowledged as pricey, the monetary loss associated pinches the pocket even more.
“Uzed”, an innovative start-up based in the city has developed a solution to address this problem. The discarded or unused items are picked-up at customers’ doorsteps and your mobile app is credited with electronic value (UMoney).
Umoney can be used to upto 60 per cent, and only the rest is to be paid by real money, thus enabling purchases of your choice and convenience, be it online or select offline stores. All of this is provided, without any hassle of clicking photos of unused goods or answering calls from prospective buyers (strangers). Above all, no bargaining proves to be a desirable feature.
Commenting on the concept and its acceptance, Abhishek Deshpande, Co-Founder, Uzed said, “Our business model is currently the best available solution for a common problem faced by our society.
People feel pained to discard items they buy and do not use later on. From apparels to toys or small electronics, Uzed ‘values’ every items that has no use in a household. Additionally, our partners offer best bargains for Umoney acquired on selling items of no use to us by customers.”
