Integrated dialysis-cum-intensive renal care at Care

A renal ICU with advanced hemodialysis facility including CRRT dialysis unit was inaugurated at CARE Hospital in Banjara Hills on Tuesday. Chairman CARE Group of Hospitals Dr B Soma Raju, Dr Raghava Raju, Dr Rajgopal Raju, Dr Narsimhan, Dr PC Gupta, Dr Tom Cherian, Dr Nikhil Mathur, Dr Vikranth Reddy, Sr Consultant Nephrologist, Dr Srikanth, Consultant Nephrologist, Dr Santosh, Consultant Nephrologist, Dr Gopi Krishna, Medical Superiendent, Facility Chief Operating Officer K Hara Gopal, General Manager Mahender Pala, DGM Jayakumar and Team of Critical Care doctors were present on the occasion.

Dr Vikranth Reddy, Sr Consutlant Nephrologist said that with increasing incidence of renal ailments in the country, there is an urgent need for easy access to quality dialysis. He added that this is the reason why we wanted to start a Renal ICU Block at the hospital. “The centre will be a one-stop solution for all patients’ needs related to kidney and urological problems. The modernised and upgraded 15 beds ICU unit is now equipped with a state of art monitoring system and three ultra modern ventilators,” he said.
