South Central Railway General Manager discusses strategies with AP Chief Secretary

The General Manager of South Central Railway (SCR) Vinod Kumar Yadav met Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, Dinesh Kumar at the AP Secretariat in Amaravati recently.

The GM discussed on the progress of ongoing railway projects in Andhra Pradesh including New Line Projects, Doubling/Tripling of existing lines and development of Vijayawada Railway Station. Road Over Bridge (ROB) / Road Under Bridge (RUB) project works in AP State were also reviewed in detail.

Earlier, the GM inspected Electric Traction Training Centre (ETTC), Satyanarayanapuram, Vijayawada and inaugurated the State of art ‘Loco Simulator’ at ETTC that is used for training of Loco Pilots and Asst. Loco Pilots. He released a manual concerning the Loco Train Driving Simulator.

He also laid foundation stone for augmenting the Trainee’s Hostel facilities at the ETTC. The General Manager also inspected Electric Loco Shed, Vijayawada and advised completion of the infrastructural augmentation works here on priority. R Dhanunjayulu, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division was present along with the General Manager during the course of the day’s programme.
