Omega topple Central Excise and Customs

In their respective quarterfinals at Victory Playground, Omega Club pulled off a major upset bringing down Central Excise and Customs 71-66 in a touch and go affair right from the jump ball.
Arun Kumar (22), Vishnu (14) and Sai Kumar (9) did the bulk of scoring for Omega while Vijay Kumar (23) and Harish (20) were the prominent scorers for the loser.
Sanathnagar Playground did well to rally from a 42-43 halftime deficit to enter the semifinal with a comfortable 76-51 win over Hyderabad YMCA.
Shoaib (19) Nikhil (17) were the main scorers for Sanathnagar while Abhishek (17) and Vinay Samuel (14) played well for YMCA.
Secunderabad YMCA was made to sweat it out against Jubilee Hills International Centre before scoring a narrow 55-52 win. Victory Playground defeated A V College 76-45 after leading 37-22 at halftime.
