Tollywood upcoming actress Aswini (Hora Hori Movie fame) and socialite Sudha Jain inaugurated ‘Hastashilpi’ the Silk India Expo 2017 at Satya Sai Nigamagamam, Srinagar Colony recently.
Artisans and Weavers Welfare Association is organising this 10-day event. “It’s glad to see various apparel, particularly silk saris, designer wear products to be showcased in city under one roof,” said actress Aswini.
“Various silk sari weavers, handloom clusters and silk co-operative societies showcasing products. The intension of the organisation is to make accessible and attain the products directly to the customers, without the mediators to the weavers and artisans,’’ said, Abhinand, organiser. The expo will be held until May 14.
