All India Radio organised 250th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Saint Tyagaraja at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad in association with South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur and Department of Language and Culture, Government of Telangana.

On this occasion 'Hyderabad Sisters' B Lalitha and B Hari Priya gave a carnatic vocal recital. They started with 'Shashi Vadane' in Raga Chandra Jyoti set to Adi talam. This was followed by Niravadisukhada in Raga Ravichandrika set to Adi Talam.

The main item was in Raga Kalyani 'Ninnu Emanavale' set to Mishra Chapu talam. Then came ' Yamuniki' in Raga Mukhari set to Aadi Talam. They further sang one sloka of Saint Tyagaraja in Ragamalika. They were accompanied by Mallela Tejaswi on Violin and on mridangam by Karra Srinivas. The two-day event also saw performances of Hyderabad Brothers.
