Silk India expo opens

Hastashilp, a Silk India expo launched on Wednesday at Satya Sai Nigamagamam, Sri Nagar Colony, organised by Artisans and Weavers Welfare Association. Upcoming actress Shalu Chourasia and models Honey and Nikitha showcased the traditional handloom sari collection.

“Various silk sari weavers, handloom clusters and silk co-operative societies showcasing products, the intension of the organization is to make accessible and attain the products directly to the customers, without the mediators to the weavers and artisans’’ said Manju Gowda, ograniser. The show will be on until May 14.
