Pullela Gopichand unveiled the ‘Hyderabad Ultra Marathon’ logo at the ‘Physical Literacy Days’ in Gachibowli on Sunday. This was followed by a 5K run in which about 5,000 people participated.

“India needs to foster a culture of sports, fitness and health among the country’s young and old alike, and it’s events like these that will go a long way in achieving this objective. I’m delighted to be a part of this initiative,” said Gopichand.
Nagaraj Adiga, Race Director, said, “We are delighted to launch our event in Hyderabad. The Ultra Marathon should give the citizens of this city a sense of pride and encourage them to participate in large numbers.
We will be conducting our training sessions at the Physical Literacy Days for people who want to adopt running.” The first Ultra Marathon for Hyderabad will be on November 5.
