It seems like standup comedian Sorabh Pant is fast becoming a favourite in the city. At his recent event, which was organised by Punchliners, the comedian left everyone at the Bhaskara Auditorium in Adarsh Nagar in splits.

His solo performance ‘Rant of the Pant’ spout out ferocious words about topics ranging from politics that included Narendra Modi, Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi; Arnab Goswami and The Republic; the insensitiveness of his peer Kapil Sharma and of course, Pant’s go-to jokes on sexism.

While fans did fill out the hall, the comedian’s content was rib-tickling to say the least as Pant involves his audience in his stand-up, making it a shared experience for everyone. After all, who doesn’t enjoy shouting abuses?

When asked the best way to describe his show, Pant said, “Laughing, hunger and passing out, as one of the audience previously said to describe her experience, would be best suitable for describing my show.”

Later, the comedian’s book ‘Under Delhi’ was sold at a discounted price at the venue. Commenting on the same, he said, “It’s about a Delhi girl who fights rape and sexual assault to bring in justice. Of course, it has its touch of humour in the writing throughout.”
