Inclov app, launched in 2016 by Gurgaon-based Kalyani Khona and Shankar Srinivasan, is a platform for people with all kinds of disabilities and health disorders to meet life partners. “We started it as a matchmaking agency and within eight months more than 2,000 disable people signed up for our app across the country.

In our research, we found that there are 1.2 billion people in the world with disabilities and we need to reach all of them. We spoke to 300 people with disabilities across 55 cities to understand their views about what worked or what didn’t,” said Shankar Srinivasan, founder of Inclove app.

“The app is fully accessible to people with disabilities of all kinds. In the last 15 months, we reached over 10,000 users. We ask about the disability name, type, percentage, and level of independence to know their exact status.

Users can also choose priorities like age, disability, gender, and location, to be able to find five relevant matches each day. In the last 15 months we had around 4,000 matches,” adds Shankar Srinivasan.

He also said that the app is not only for people with disabilities and 40 percent of their users are without any disabilities.“The concept is not only for marriages but also for meeting the like-minded people. It’s like a companion and that is why we do not keep the record of the marriages we have conducted.

We are also organising our offline meet-ups called ‘Social Spaces’ for meeting people directly. Till now, we organised 20 meet ups in offline,” shares Shankar Srinivasan.
