Warangal, Adilabad clinch titles

Warangal boys and girls from Adilabad clinched the top honours in their respective categories of the 63rd Junior Inter-Dist Ball Badminton Championship-2017 for boys and girls at Anupuram Grounds.

In the boy’s finals, Warangal defeated Nizamabad 35-28, 35-20 while the girls’ final saw Adilabad down Warangal 35-30, 35-25. Adilabad and Khammam took the boys and girls third spots after defeating Ranga Reddy and Karimnagar in the play-off matches.

Later, Prof K Ranga Rao, President of Olympic Association of Telangana, gave away the prizes. The President and Secretary of Telangana Ball Badminton Association (TBBA) M Srinivasa Rao and A Ravinder were present on the occasion along with coaches of the district teams.
