Tata Motors has always strived to keeps its organisation environmental friendly. On the Ocassion of World Environment Day Gajendra Chandel Chief Human Resource Officer, Tata Motors. Speaks about how Tata Motors has always strived to maintain environmental sustainability alongside its operations.

"Drawing purpose and strength from Tata Group’s tradition of emphasising community services, Tata Motors has been at the forefront of productive community engagement since its inception. Sustainability is a crucial element of the company’s business strategy, and we at Tata Motors, believe in technology for tomorrow.

We have made a conscious effort in the implementation of several environmentally sensitive technologies in our manufacturing processes. We remain committed to addressing local environmental challenges and working with the industry and the Government to advance environmental sustainability.

Through our regular environment awareness sessions, we have successfully reached out to 12,600 participants and have planted over 67,000 trees on wastelands in an attempt to increase the green cover within a year. The Company will continue to focus on sustainability projects to improve the quality of life and promote self-sustaining processes for social and economic development,” he said.
