The staff members of ITC Kakatiya staged a skit at its premises on Monday. The play highlighted the importance and the increasing need to protect the environment. And focused on how due to high consumption of fossil fuel the planet is becoming decadent.

The participants showcased the current situation of the planet and the initiatives, we as individuals can take to slow down the process if not completely control it. They focused on the importance of saving water and conserving rainwater to meet the shortage of clean water.

Moving on to use of renewable sources of energy like wind and solar to replace fossil fuel consumption and reduce carbon footprint. Every individual can make a difference which will lead to a collective effort from human race to protect the planet. We need to connect with nature and consume with care since the planet is the house to seven billion dreams.

Virender Razdan, Area Manager & General Manager - ITC Kakatiya said, “These initiatives stimulate awareness amongst our staff and guests with regards to environmental threats that we are facing; our main objective is to motivate people to become active participants in the process of sustainable and equitable development and to promote a change in attitude so that everyone can enjoy a safer, cleaner and greener tomorrow.”

“To further maximise the impact of the issue, we will also play our part in the conservation of the resources by organising candlelight dinner at our specialty restaurant K&K and Deccan Pavilion; our all day dining restaurant will showcase a ‘Locavore” featuring a selection of locally grown and organic products, in a fun and casual setting,” he added.
