The inaugural six-week ChildRUN, which attracted the participation of 55o enthusiastic children, who came over from 12 localities, culminated on a spectacular note at Panchvati Park, Domnair, near Fort Grand Shamshabad, on Sunday.

The inaugural six-week ChildRUN, which attracted the participation of 55o enthusiastic children, who came over from 12 localities, culminated on a spectacular note at Panchvati Park, Domnair, near Fort Grand Shamshabad, on Sunday.

Adding to the emotional dash was the turnout of around 300 parents, which enhanced the reputation of the Graduation Run that was flagged-off by the country’s youngest mountaineer Jaahnavi Sriperambuduru and graced by Dr Shantha Sinha, Chairperson of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

The fun and frolic family bonding time was organised by ReaCH, with active collaboration coming from Hyderabad Runners and Telangana Forest Department. Reach emphasises on the need to educate and sensitise young adults’ about importance of staying physical fit.

Its voluntary-driven ‘Outdoor Kids’ themed refresher is an out-of-school programme that introduces running as a form of physical activity, which boosts one’s mental alertness. The accompanying pictures capture the moods and sentiments of the participants, a day prior to the reopening of schools.
