A befitting honour
In another honour, Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF) has been selected for the ‘Social Impact Awards-2017’ among the three best NGOs under the ‘Outstanding Volunteer’ category.
In another honour, Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF) has been selected for the ‘Social Impact Awards-2017’ among the three best NGOs under the ‘Outstanding Volunteer’ category.
The recognition is awarded by The Resource Alliance, UK and the award will be presented at a ceremony in Bangkok on June 26.
The honour comes in recognition of SCF’s works in conflict areas, government schools, and juvenile homes to promote the culture of playing sports among children and youth.
The organisation, led by its founding secretary K Saibaba, teaches life skills through sports like behaviour, character building and spirit of giving back to the society.
The foundation has reached over 60,000 BPL children in the country so far and aims to reach more than 3,00,000 children in the next two years.
