It was a memorable moment for Hyderabad Zakat and Charitable Trust (HZCT) as it celebrated 25 years in serving the society recently. In this regard, the Annual Meet was held in Banjara Hills.

Addressing the gathering, Advisor of Minority Welfare AK Khan said “HZCT is one of the very few organisations in the country that is focussing diligently on the community development and welfare while professing his association with the trust in selecting students for civil service scholarships and other welfare schemes.”

“The trust has been leveraging hope and economic and moral support among the economically challenged by providing food packs and eatables.

12,070 food packs, 3,300 Fitra packs, and 3,500 Eid clothes packs comprising bed sheets, two sarees, and clothes for children have been distributed to orphan children and their mothers already were also disseminated,” said HZCT Chairman Ghiasuddin Babukhan.

One of the oldest NGOs in Hyderabad, the Zakat Trust also takes care of orphans, organises re-marriage of young widows, and even helps with scholarships for the students of Hyderabad Institute of Excellence managed by the trust.

Telangana Civil Services topper Muzammil Khan along with HZCT trustee Abdul Aleem Khan, Ahmed Sayeed, Maulana Mufti Mohammed Azam, Javed Hood and others were also present on this occasion.
