Macro fun at microbrewery

Beer is one of the most favourite drinks across the globe, and there is no celebration complete without this golden hued, frosty and fizzy brew. It is said that beer is one of the oldest drinks, which mankind discovered and taking this legacy forward is The Hoppery, Jubilee Hills, marking the entry of Olive Bistro into the microbrewery segment in India.

The recent entrant is serving some lip smacking in-house brewed beers for its patrons. It has roped in Bollybeer’s maestro, Aditya Challa, to brew best-tasting beer in the city. What more, the beer when served on the banks of the Durgam Cheruvu Lake along with some upbeat music for company makes this one hell of a retreat for a beer-filled evening. The place offers both indoor and outdoor seating with aesthetically designed interiors and exteriors.

Commence your Hoppery experience with the ‘Hop Notch’, which is a fine balance between malt sweetness and hop bitterness. Follow it up with ‘Copperhead’, a brew of dark and coppery lager. It is brewed with unrefined cane sugar. The drink is overlaid with caramel and it gives sweetness in every sip, but not overtly so. Guzzle down a chilled glass of ‘White Spice’, which has a touch of heat and citrus from Asian peppercorn. Aditya has also brewed a special beer ‘Hyderabrew’ and it has special flavours that are familiar to our city.

The microbrewery also has some scrumptious starters (both veg and non-veg) on its well-crafted menu. The must tries to go along with a chilled in-house brews are ‘Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Potatoes’, ‘Corn and Cottage Cheese Fritters’, ‘Assorted Fries’ on the vegetarian menu. The non-vegetarian menu boasts of delicacies like ‘Slow-Cooked Chicken Tacos’, Crispy Tex-Mex Chicken Wings’, ‘Grilled Shrimps’, ‘Dry-Fried Tender Pork Ribs’ among others.

This new addition to the microbrewery culture of the city is already a hot favourite. And with the onset of monsoon, the place will be a delight to hang out with friends and family…if only they added more to their menu.
