The 500-seater eco-friendly auditorium is the latest addition to the city’s cultural spaces. Made of earth-friendly materials and mud plaster, the auditorium features restored and refurbished majestic old doors, wrought iron and brick jail windows, recycled wood and furniture.

‘CHAORAH’- a new auditorium will be inaugurated at Our Sacred Space on June 18 at 4pm on World Music Day. It will be inaugurated by P Raghuveer, Additional PCCF/Director, TS Forest Academy. The inaugural event will feature ‘World Music Day’ performances by musicians and singers.

The 500-seater eco-friendly auditorium is the latest addition to the city’s cultural spaces. Made of earth-friendly materials and mud plaster, the auditorium features restored and refurbished majestic old doors, wrought iron and brick jail windows, recycled wood and furniture.

The use of plastic, paints and cement is minimised. The auditorium has a 50-car parking space providing an ideal space for large performances and events.

The World Music Day event will be inaugurated by leading Permaculturist, Narsanna Koppula of Aranya Agricultural Alternatives. The event will feature a dozen artists including the Boieni Sisters on Carnatic vocals. Siddharth Bendi who recently concluded a successful world fundraiser will also be performing.

Nayantara Nandakumar, director of Our Sacred Space, says, “When the musician has already put in the work and has come to the critical point when their work is ready to be presented, you need a platform for the artist to come out, and connect with the audience. World Music Day at Our Sacred Space Auditorium provides that space.”
