Eminent social personality Nawab Rashed Qayyum passed away at his residence in the city recently. He was 68. Nawab Rashed Qayyum, son of Abdul Qayyum Hyderabad Civil Services (HCS) was known for his humongous collection of over 100 vintage cars was laid to rest at his farmhouse near Himayath Sagar.

He is survived by wife Mehpara Ali, former Chief General Manager of State Bank of India (Bangalore),three daughters, a son and maternal cousin Zafar Javeed (Secretary, Sultan ul Uloom Education Society).
